I have been planning to announce the winner of the Free Android Tablet I announced two weeks or so ago in a previous post. The good news is that I will do so today in this post and it could be you! It took me a while to decide on who the winner was, not because it was necessarily hard but because of time – working Monday – Friday every week leaves me with weekends to do other stuff (like writing blog posts and projects). Anyway, here we are and it is time to see who the winner is.
Today I want to share the best SEO tips for WordPress. You could say SEO is overrated because there is just way too much noise out there with some making promises that never work. I am not an expert but after several months of learning, I believe what I am doing on my blog is working for me. That is exactly what I want to share with you.
In this html5 tutorial, we will go a step farther from where we left. Yesterday, I showed you how to use HTML5 Web Storage API in my first html5 tutorial post. Today, I want, as promised, to embark on the next phase of the application. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I do. Before I jump in, let me do a recap really fast:
So, here is what we covered in my first post:
- localStorage has setItem, getItem, length and key() features that come with it among other things.
Apparently Microsoft and Kenya are great friends. The other day, I stumbled upon a news article talking about a meeting between Microsoft’s Global President ( Mr. Jean-Philippe Courtois) and the president of Kenya (Uhuru Kenyatta). What were they talking about? Computers in grade schools (or as they normally call it – primary schools). Every computer needs software and this time, Microsoft appears to be looking at the big picture. Perhaps we can now ask ourselves this question: where is Google? Or maybe not!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Have you ever wanted to participate in live hangouts with coders?. If that sounds like you, let me share with you an idea I just thought about: Google+ Hangouts on The Weekends (Saturday) for coders(beginners and experts alike)!
I am looking for coders who are willing to hangout on Saturdays for a few hours (could be 1 – 2) on Google Plus. The hangouts will involve teaching each other new things and writing code to solve small problems that fit the available time span.
Hello! I will start by saying let this be a happy day to every mother out there! Now that we have covered that and before I jump into tips on how to make lasting relationships/connections with people, am excited because I just got a bike today…yay! I can’t wait to start riding it! Now back to the topic of networking. This subject kept coming up to me when I was trying to sleep but I chose to write about it today.
Hi! Starting last week, I have been working on a project that I believe could change the way new beginners learn the whole craft of software development. I made a video and posted it on YouTube and one guy who watched it asked me why I posted it instead of keeping it secret. I believe this is not meant to be a secret. Today however, I am kindly coming to you for opinions on my landing page. Please take a minute and tell me what you think could be kept, changed, or removed from this page. They say if you ask a question, you become stupid for only five minutes. If you don’t ask, you remain stupid forever. So, here it is:
Hello! I hope you had a good Sunday. Mine was awesome because I got to play tennis, watch my local soccer team score 4 goals against the visiting team and finally, post about what was going through my mind last night as I tried hard to sleep. For me, it is more like “a night in the life of a computer programmer”, not necessarily a day!
Have you ever had one of those moments when your mind is racing faster than you can process the information? If you love programming like I do, I have no doubt you have been through this more than once.
Seen ads on Google Homepage? Two days ago, I woke up to find ads flashing on Google’s homepage and at first I was like what is going on here. Since I have three of the commonly used browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE10), I looked through them and Firefox had the same ads. As of today however, Chrome is the only one still having the ads displayed with some text below the ad stating that the ads are not served by (this) Google.
Steps To Remove Annoying Ads on Google Homepage
1) Step one – Download AdwCleaner
Hi there! I finally did it. I took the first step towards a new experience. I have been using Windows machines since I started computing and I had several reasons for it – like the …. wait for it …. the price tag and then of course availability of solutions to common problems associated with Windows. Today, am happy to say that I am now a MacBook owner! Let us go celebrate – but after work.
