Obama Apologizes and Justin Bieber Wants His Monkey Back

Hello there! This is my weekend recap and it is all about what I think about the events of the week. There are several events but I will only rant about a few of them which include Obama apologizing to Kamala Harris – the California attorney general and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea threating both US and South korea!

First things first, I still see nothing evil about Barack Obama saying that Kamala Harris is the best looking attorney general in the country. The only thing that worries me is what Michelle Obama would say when all doors are closed at the White House. Worst case: forcing him to sleep on the couch for complimenting another woman?

The media tends to blow things out of proportion just for the sake of it. I can confidently say that most, not all, women appreciate compliments. They get a good feeling out of it as long as it is done right. So what is my final word on this? I think the president did nothing wrong and by going as far as apologizing, I commend him for it. That is what we should all learn from this case. Now to North Korea.

There is nothing more annoying than a 30-year-old leader threatening to start a war with everyone who disagrees with him! Let us be honest here – I love watching war movies (my favorite: we were soldiers ) but when it comes to reality, those who die are often the children and women. No one can truly justify that. The world is already littered with memories of blood-sheds and worries of the unknown. The fact is we don’t really know what might happen tomorrow or the day after.

If a war breaks out – and I hope it doesn’t, we will all lose. Sure, North Korea will be committing suicide by starting a nuclear war but when you think about it, the stigma will last for a long time on both sides. War is a necessary evil, they say. They also say that if you want peace, you ought to prepare for war. What do you do to calm down Kim Jong-Un? This guy is hard to understand and he seems careless. Let us hope that he is just trying, like other leaders losing ground at home, to make himself look stronger.

That is all I wanted to say today. Whether you are still wondering why the German authorities are asking Justin Bieber to pay $15,000 for his pet monkey or why Michelle Obama accidentally said she was a single mother, we should both agree that none of that keeps us up all night. Let there be peace! See you soon.
