Is Soda Bad For You? A Confession and a 30-Day Challenge

Tell me, is soda bad for you? I know you are probably saying, oh definitely it is not good for your health but we still drink it anyway. Like one guy once joked, if it is bad for you, why did they make it taste so darn good? I have a confession to make today: I drink a good amount of soda every week. You know those 1.25 Liter Sprite bottles from Walgreens ? They only cost 99 cents. I also like Root Beer but I prefer to buy it from A & W restaurant because it tastes so friggin’ good. Anyway, here is the terrible part of the story:

If you are like me, you were born when soda was a regular, normal drink and all you had to do was join the club. Think about the fact that the phrase Coca-Cola is very popular all over the world – I mean, ask a kid and he will probably tell you what it is.

The soda companies invest a lot of money to stick the image in your head everywhere you go. They however, only tell you of how good it tastes. But we are basically harming ourselves with the sugar and chemicals in these drinks. Is soda bad for you then? Hell yes it is.

What is the plan now? Can you even live without soda? All the restaurants and fast food places have soda for less. How can I get away from the temptation? The thing is, it is up to you. You can choose to reduce your soda intake by drinking the good old water which is perfectly healthy for you or keep drinking soda while you ruin your health slowly.

The 30-Day Challenge for September – JOIN

I created this post on the dangers of soda because I want to make better decisions regarding my health. I have been drinking soda for years now but I want to try my best in the month of September to stop drinking it. Is 30 days too long for a start? Maybe, but I just want to give it a shot. But I need you to join me;

is soda bad for you

All you really have to do is carry a bottle of water with you; you can buy it from the store for less or make your own bottled water at home to take with you. It is a challenge but that is why it is called a challenge – it can be difficult.
